Chozo Technologies

IT consulting · Metairie & greater New Orleans

  • Monitored antivirus & malware prevention
  • Remote access & VPN
  • Reliable uptime

Services

Things done properly.

You're treated properly. No add-on costs, no upsells — just clear, transparent, and friendly service to take away the headaches.

  1. Monitoring & maintenance

Every machine runs the industry's best monitoring agent. It reports health continuously — disk, memory, drive SMART status, patch level, endpoint protection state. Patches go out on a tested schedule, not whenever Windows feels like rebooting mid-invoice. The development team behind this agent is active and constantly evolving. That means you, the client, benefit from a group dedicated to the industry.

    • Automated patching on a staged rollout
    • Alerts that reach me before they reach you
    • Helpdesk system with a fast response time
  2. Day-to-day support

The printer, the login loop, the spreadsheet that won't open, the new starter who needs a laptop by Monday. Most of it I fix remotely in minutes because the agent is already there. Onboarding, offboarding, moves, adds and replacements are part of the monthly cost — I don't itemize them, and I don't run a clock.

    • Remote support on every managed device
    • On/offboarding at no extra charge
    • Hardware sourcing, setup and disposal
    • Yes, I'll turn off “new Outlook”
  3. Storage & backup

Your data is important. I help you manage that data, keeping it in safe locations, not scattered across desktops — so a dead laptop is an annoyance, not an incident. When using on-premise storage, a robust backup is implemented so you know all your important things are safe.

    • Enterprise-grade on-site storage solutions, compatible with any OS
    • Replicated data for redundancy and fault tolerance
    • Off-site backups
    • Routine checks to ensure there aren't any silent failures
  4. Common sense security practices

No fear-based upselling. The unglamorous controls that stop the overwhelming majority of small-business incidents are managed in conjunction with a company that sees itself as a partner, not a vendor. Best practices like MFA and privileged escalation are implemented so nobody needs a local admin account to get their job done. Simple solutions to help stop simple mistakes from ever occurring.

    • Managed and monitored antivirus and malware protection
    • Controlled privileged access when needed
    • MFA implementation that meets your business's needs, keeping you and your users secure
    • Same-day access removal when needed

Core Philosophy

You’re in control.

You hire me, but you maintain ownership of everything. A lot of IT relationships quietly turn into hostage situations — the tenant is in someone else's account, the licenses are resold through their portal, the documentation lives on their systems, and leaving means starting over.

That's not how I work. Your Microsoft tenant, your domain, your hardware, your licenses — all in your name. There is no gatekeeping here. If you ever want to take it in-house or hand it to somebody else, it's already in your possession.

  • Tenant and licenses in your name
  • Hardware you bought and keep
  • Documentation handed over, not held
  • Leave whenever — nothing to unwind

How it works

Three weeks from “who do I call?” to quiet.

  1. Week 0

    A free review

An hour on-site or on a call. I inventory what you've got, find what's unpatched, unbacked-up or unsupported, and tell you what I'd fix first. You get that list whether or not you hire me.

  2. Week 1

    Onboarding

Agents deployed, storage and replication set up, backups verified, MFA switched on, documentation written — and all of it registered in your name, not mine. This is the heavy week; done with minimal disruption, if at all.

  3. Ongoing

    It gets boring

Maintenance runs overnight and anything that needs doing lands in the helpdesk inbox. Boring is the deliverable — if you're hearing from me often, something has gone wrong with the arrangement.

Coverage

One price. Everything in it.

A flat monthly rate — something you can predict and budget. All other product licensing stays under your control, managed on your behalf.

How I work with everyone

One-time help

Happy to, once

Stuck on something specific? I'll come and sort it out as a one-off, no strings.

What I don't do is ongoing break/fix. Getting called only when something is already on fire is bad for you — nobody's watching the backups between emergencies — and unpredictable for me. If you want a continuing relationship, it's the managed one, so I can get the tools in and actually prevent the call.

About

About Chozo Technologies

Small businesses often attempt to handle their tech in house or through friends and family. That's exactly how this company started. If you want to talk, get a second opinion, or maybe you think you're growing, I'm here.

Think of me as a part-time IT admin rather than a vendor. I'll treat the systems and infrastructure as if it were my own. The goal is to find a solution that's right for you, help cut costs, and make it so you don't need to think about IT.

Thirty-odd years of hands-on computer experience sits behind that, most of it spent on exactly this kind of work: small offices around Metairie and New Orleans that just need their stuff to work.

Remote staff finally have VPN that does not fight them. Support is direct and plain-spoken.

Questions

The ones I get asked most.

We're only six people. Are we too small?

No — that's the size I'm built for. Under about five devices a managed agreement usually isn't worth it for you, and I'll say so; hourly is probably the better deal.

What happens if you're on holiday or sick?

Fair question, and the honest answer matters more than a slick one. [Describe your arrangement here — e.g. a named backup technician, a reciprocal agreement with another local MSP, and how emergency coverage works.] Monitoring and backups keep running regardless.

Do we have to sign a long contract?

There isn't one. No contract, no minimum term, no SLA document, no exit fee — month to month, and you can stop whenever you like. Since everything is already in your name, leaving doesn't involve untangling anything from me.

The honest trade-off: no SLA means no contractual response time. What you get instead is someone who sees the alert before you do and has usually dealt with it already.

Can you just fix this one thing for us?

Once, sure — happy to help, no strings. What I don't take on is an ongoing break/fix arrangement, where I only appear when something is already broken. It's a bad deal for you, because nobody is watching the backups in between, and an unpredictable one for me.

If you want something continuing, it's the managed arrangement, which is what lets me stop the call happening in the first place.

We already have an IT person. Can you work alongside them?

Often the best setup. I take the overnight monitoring, patching and backup load so your internal person can do the work that actually needs to know your business. Same for franchises where head office already runs the Microsoft tenant — I look after everything on your side of that line.

What do you actually install on our machines?

A monitoring and remote-support agent, managed antivirus and malware protection, and controlled privilege elevation so people can do their jobs without holding local admin rights. That's the core set.

Exactly what each tool can and can't see is explained before anything is deployed — including that a remote session needs someone on your end to approve it.

What if our setup is a mess right now?

That's normal, and it's usually inherited rather than anyone's fault — an old domain controller nobody can log into, a VPN client on every laptop, licenses sitting in a previous provider's account. Sometimes the sensible move is to stop trying to rescue the old thing and stand up a clean environment beside it, then move people across gradually.
